Isengard
Smoke rises from water-filled furnaces; river Isen, unbound by the dam, glistens once more in its old course and washes away the Orc filth. The age-old fortress, which has withstood centuries of change in Middle-earth, is now itself renewed. The corrupted wizard is captive in his own tower and Isengard is now shepherded by Treebeard.
The company approaches to find two proud and sated Hobbits and a defeated, yet still dangerous Wizard.

Dunharrow Encampment
This clifftop, accessible by a long and winding path, has served as a refuge for Rohirrim many times in the past. Théoden has ordered Rohan’s forces to muster here before marching to aid Gondor.
With a shrinking heart, Aragorn watches the soldiers gather: this army cannot withstand the Darkness pouring out of Mordor.

Dimhold Road
Flanked by sterile rock and darkened trees, this road leads deeper into the mountain, towards a place of anger and turmoil. Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli ride a path long ago ridden by Oathbreakers who hid in the shadow instead of riding into battle when summoned by Isildur.
Driven by need, Aragorn looks to this band of traitors to fulfil their oath.

Dark Door
"The way is shut. It was made by those who are dead, and the Dead keep it. The way is shut."
This sordid door into Dwimorberg marks the entrance to the Paths of the Dead, the hiding place of those who would rather mingle in the eternal darkness than heed their call to battle. Letting faithful Brego go, Aragorn plunges into the passage for he does not fear death.

City of the Dead
Beneath the mountain, shrouded by livid light, lies the City of the Dead, ruled by the Dead King, whose wrath is awakened by whomever trespasses his cursed domain. Grand constructions of what-once-was cling to the cold mountain walls.
Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli tread on broken bones and hollowed skulls.
The Dead approach.
